Strong communication skills create a competitive advantage.  I’ve dedicated my entire career to helping people articulate their messages more effectively through improved content development and presentation delivery. When you’re preparing for high-profile and/or high-stakes presentations, I help you inspire, motivate, or just explain more effectively. Whether you’re CEO, Managing Partner, Founder or just aspiring to one of those stately positions, I can help you tell your story.

I consult with executives and corporate teams on presentations – internal and external. No matter what industry you’re in, I can help you assess your audience and craft a message that will capture their attention. In addition to my work with executives, I enjoy working as an Instructor and Communication Coach at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I teach students the finer points of business writing and oral presentations.

Prior to working in the presentation coaching arena, I spent 12 years at Catchword Branding, a firm I co-founded in 1998. During my time there, I led strategy and business development – and consequently had the opportunity to hone my expertise through thousands of high-stakes presentations of my own. I worked with some great clients at Catchword, including start-ups like Boku, Asana, Vudu, and Livescribe and blue-chips like Wells Fargo, Spalding, Cisco, P&G, and Palm.

A long time ago, in what seems like a galaxy far far away, I earned my degree in Psycholinguistics from Swarthmore College and my MBA from Harvard Business School. I live in Oakland with a wonderfully communicative wife and a pair of aspiring communicators – age 10 and 12 – who challenge my communication skills daily. I enjoy sailing around the bay, spending contemplative moments in the basement wine cellar and rooting for my beloved A’s and Warriors.
